Continue without a wearable

You can start your programme right away without a device. Track manually in the PEAK4 app, and connect a wearable whenever you're ready from your profile.

Search for WHOOP in the App Store or Google Play and download the app.

Activate your membership

Check your emails for an invitation from WHOOP Unite.

Click on the invitation email from WHOOP Unite.

Accept the invitation.

When the page loads, you will see a black screen. Scroll down slightly until you see the two interlinking WHOOP devices.

Underneath these, click "Claim your WHOOP."

Agree and continue with the data-sharing consent.

Enter your email address and create a password.

Scroll down and select country of residence.

Click Confirm.

You should then see a page with a footballer holding a football.

Set up the WHOOP app

Open the WHOOP app and select "I have a device."

Enter the email address and password you have just used to create your account.

Pair your WHOOP device

Unbox your WHOOP device.

Plug charger block in using USB-C to charge

Take wearable and pull the white toggle upwards to open the clasp.

Take note of reference number on the side. It should look like a unique serial number like 5A0Q483271

Close the clasp. Make sure wearable strap is snug and comfortable

Take charging block off charge and slide the charging block over the top of the device.

Follow steps in WHOOP app to continue pairing.

The WHOOP should vibrate, and the app should show that it is connected, with a green light.

If no light appears, charge the device for approximately one minute and then slide the charging block over the top again. It should then flash either a green or blue light.

Once you have a light showing on the charging block, remove the charging block from the device.

Take the WHOOP back off your wrist by opening the clasp.

Hold the WHOOP by its sides and repeatedly tap the top of the device until you see a blue light.

WHOOP will ask whether you would like to connect WHOOP to Apple Health or Android Health Connect. Feel free to do this and select Allow All. This allows your WHOOP data to sync with your phone's Health app.

Finish setting up your WHOOP profile by entering a few personal details, including your name, a username and your country of residence.

Final steps

WHOOP will ask if you would like to gift WHOOP to up to three friends. Two options will be shown, represented as selectable buttons/lines. The user selects whichever option they'd like.

You will see "What to expect next." Click the green tick. Your WHOOP homepage should then appear, showing Sleep | Recovery | Strain at the top.

Go to the profile icon (person inside a circle, bottom right corner) and select "Connect devices." Select the device you are using and pair the accounts together. You must grant PEAK4 access to fully connect them.
